2009 Moose Hunt at Sunset Lodge

Well Rene has been busy guiding this fall and 3 of our hunters have their freezers full of moose meat. Orville and Gordie were up north and both bagged their moose; Orville with a 42" bull and Gordie with a young bull. Steve hunted unit 3 and harvested a 54" moose. Good shooting!

2008 Moose Hunt at Sunset Lodge

We have overcome some of the technical difficulties associated with sharing your daughter's computer and are now able to give you a picture of Colin's moose. Guests hunting moose this year at Sunset Lodge were plagued by warmer than average temps and for the guys in 1C, rain!

Colin harvested a 48.5 in moose from Red Lake unit 3. Colin has been wanting to hunt moose since he was a young lad and is pretty pleased with his moose and is planning a head mount. Brad and Brett harvested a young bull in Red Lake unit 1C and Brad recently celebrated his 50th with moose meat a highlight on the menu. Word has it that everyone really like the moose meat and now Brad has it under lock and key. Rene filled his calf moose tag last week and so the moose season at Sunset Lodge is a wrap!
